Q&A with Aly

Q: What does a typical day in the office look like for you?
A: My first stop in the office is the coffee machine- I have two toddlers, so the office is the only place I can actually drink my coffee hot! In the morning, I will review my inbox, catch up on the markets and daily news, and run our daily team meeting. During this time, our advisors and operations team meet to review notes from client meetings and workflows. From there, I am meeting with clients, reviewing portfolio recommendations, and providing feedback to the team as we work towards our office goals.

Q: What do you find most rewarding about your work?
A:  The role we play in the lives of our clients. It is such a gift to help clients work towards life time goals like weddings, home purchases, dream trips, and retirement. But the smaller moments- hearing updates about pets, celebrating the birth of a grandchild, explaining the market news in easy-to-understand language- are equally rewarding.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Claremont?
A: My perfect Claremont day involves going for a hike with my kids in the foothills, grabbing pastries at Creme, and walking around the colleges at sunset

Q: What are you reading/watching right now?
A:  I just finished Theo of Golden  by Allen Levi- a heartwarming story of kindness in a small Southern town. My house is currently watching a lot of PBS classics- Sesame Street, Magic School Bus, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Q: What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?
A:    I was the mascot for Claremont High School (Go Wolfpack!) my senior year

For me, being in this business is deeply personal. We have the privilege of working with clients through the best times and the hardest times of their lives, through the expected and the unexpected. I don’t take those relationships lightly or that trust for granted. Our role as investment and portfolio experts and holistic wealth managers allows us to provide clients with peace of mind and the ability to live their best lives. I feel honored to play a role in that!
